The Spice Cave ...

Living: The open-plan living area comprises a spacious dining area and a cosy salon (both of which seat 6 -8 people) plus a small but fully-equipped kitchen with four-ring gas cooker, fridge and sink. In the salon there is a music system and subtly-hidden satellite television with DVD player.

Sleeping: Due to the original quirky floor plan the sleeping arrangements are informal, flexible - and fun! There is one double bedroom on the ground floor, two low-ceilinged mezzanines (one has two double mattresses, the other two singles), plus additional accommodation in the salon if required.

Washing: There is one spacious bathroom with a bath/shower made out of tadelakt (the pigmented polished plaster that is traditionally used for hammams), sink and WC plus a small shower room (shower, sink and WC)

Outdoor living: The apartment has access to a large rooftop terrace with wonderful views of the medina and the Atlantic Ocean. This is shared by three other apartments so is a great place to meet other people and possibly share a barbecue or glass of wine as the sun goes down. The shared terrace is equipped with tables, chairs, sunloungers and a barbecue.

Eating: For eating, you are spoilt for choice. The food souks are just a stone's throw away so you can buy super-fresh raw ingredients to cook in the well-equipped open plan kitchen. If you want to eat in but don't fancy cooking you can order in delicious home-cooked food - anything from breakfast to a traditional Moroccan meal or even a barbecue. But, with numerous characterful and good value small restaurants within 10 minutes walk of the apartment, you will probably want to eat out most of the time!

Cleaning: The apartment is cleaned daily and there is a guardian on hand to carry out minor repairs and keep an eye on security. The local manager of the apartment, who speaks English, French, Spanish, Arabic and Berber, is on hand whenever you need to organise transfers, or arrange watersports or other activities.

Sleeps 6. From £200 to £300 per week.
